A public-private partnership bringing together Austrian players from industry, science and public authorities to develop and position the electronics and microelectronics sector, with a regional focus on Carinthia and Styria. Positioning line: building bridges for tomorrow. SCALE: more than 140 partners, 33 projects and around 30 events per year. The cluster describes its founding vision as bundling the microelectronics competencies of Styria and Carinthia, grown since into an internationally networked high-tech ecosystem and project hub. FOUR AREAS OF EXCELLENCE. RFID and wireless IoT, built around the region's advanced wireless technologies. Smart Sensor Systems, covering dependable systems and condition monitoring, with the stated ambition of establishing the region as a smart-sensor hub. Cyber Security Systems, drawing on regional cyber expertise with annual events and an expert network. Power Electronics, supporting businesses and startups with research and technology transfer. INITIATIVES. It runs EBSCON, the Electronic and Software Based Systems conference (next edition 7 October 2026), a #LetsCluster Conference, and hosts the AT-C3 Austrian Chips Competence Center — a national one-stop shop supporting companies, research institutions, SMEs and startups along the whole electronic and software based systems value chain. The AI CAMP upskilling project, funded by the FFG and the innovation ministry, runs with FH JOANNEUM, the University of Graz, Universität Klagenfurt, Know Center, Fraunhofer Austria, Magna Powertrain and others.
