View source- About
- BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG is a subsidiary of the Canadian group BRP, headquartered in Gunskirchen, Upper Austria, where around 1,500 employees run everything from initial research through to final assembly. The company develops and produces powertrains across six segments: snow, on-road, off-road, water, air and kart. Its engines power BRP's own brands — Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft and Can-Am on- and off-road vehicles — alongside aircraft and karting. The aircraft engine line is marketed separately under the Rotax Aircraft Engines brand. Technology spans advanced combustion engines through to electric propulsion and hydrogen. A second Austrian site at Kottingbrunn near Vienna covers mechatronics, software design, control units, inverters and advanced vehicle architecture for the global BRP range. The company runs its own Rotax Academy for training in mobility, technology and digitalisation.
